Inauguration goodies now available!

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have been in office since Jan. 20, and we have just received some of the most sought-after memorabilia from their inauguration festivities.

The Biden-Harris inaugural medal is available now. This medal is beautiful on the front and the back and comes with a lovely wooden stand in an attractive box.

The Biden-Harris Congressional Inaugural invitation package includes the invitation to the ceremony and a program. Photos of both the President and Vice President appear.

The Platform Inaugural Ticket has a drawing of the area surrounding the ceremony on one side and the ticket on the other.

All three of these items are in high demand. If you are interested, please call us and we can discuss pricing. Or you can stop into the store and take a look. Our number is 202-296-0400. We are at 1616 H. St. N.W. Give us a call and we’ll be waiting for you.

We have plenty of other political items for your collection. No matter what you are interested in, we are sure to have a little something for you, from buttons to medals and everything in between.

See you soon!   More

Changing of the guard on Inauguration Day

Our thoughts this week turn to the inauguration on Friday, Jan. 20.

We have dozens of buttons featuring President-elect Donald Trump as well as Vice President-elect Mike Pence. There’s a nice, 9-button set for $20. Or, if you are looking for a collectible to talk about, we have the same set that features the wrong date! Everybody makes a mistake, including the folks who print the buttons. That set is also $20.

For every inauguration, there are plenty of ways to show your political pride and this year is no different. From buttons featuring the President-elect and the number 45 to buttons including the new first family, there is a wide variety to choose from. Most buttons are $3.

And don’t forget, buttons from the campaign are still available.

If you are in town before the inauguration, please stop by and see us. We’re well stocked with interesting merchandise for your collections, including items from past inaugurations.

We will be closed on Inauguration Day. But check us out online. Or, if you are in town for a few days after the big event, stop by then. We’re open Monday through Friday.

We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you!

Start your holiday shopping here

Ho. Ho. Ho. It’s time for the holidays!

We have plenty of gifts for the collector in your life. Or perhaps you’d like to treat yourself. We won’t judge. We have White House ornaments and Camp David ornaments as well as Secret Service ornaments to adorn your tree or decorate your house.

We’ve just put some vintage Christmas cards up. These are excellent gifts for the holidays. There’s a card signed by George H.W. Bush from the ‘80s for $250 and a great LBJ card for $700. If those are a little more than you’ve budgeted for, take a look at the Camp David Christmas card at $10. Wouldn’t this be a great stocking stuffer?

We’ve also got some interesting programs from the White House including Christmas tree lighting and decoration programs.

Click on the Christmas link at the left of this page, and you can check out all of these and more.

And remember, the gifts of coins and political memorabilia don't have to be holiday themed. A nice medal, collectible coin or a button from the recent election is always appreciated. This is especially true if it you spent time choosing it for that special someone.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments.

Election items are perfect for collectors

Wishing you were back at the conventions? We are into the final election stretch; the conventions are but a memory.

But we’ve got some convention items that might still interest you. After all, they are collector’s items!

Delegate buttons? We’ve got them!

Trump buttons? Got those too!

And we’ve got lots of Hillary buttons from the convention as well.

Have you ever heard of the Secret Service coins? They are made especially for the convention where they’re distributed. We have a few of those. They are special and getting rarer by the moment. Get one for yourself, and save it for the grandchildren. Just $45. They are on display on our home page.

Can’t make up your mind about what to buy or how to vote? We’ve got the perfect answer: The Indecision 2016 Coin is now available. On one side is Clinton; on the other side is Trump. It’s about the size of a silver dollar and the color is brassy. At $9.95, it’s an easy decision, unlike the election. Also on display on our home page.

It would make a perfect gift for that split-voting household, too.

Take a few minutes and look through the buttons on the site. You won’t be disappointed!

Campaign buttons are an American tradition

Jeb or Hillary? Ted or Bernie?

Want to wear your support on your lapel? We’ve got the buttons you want!

The field is getting more and more crowded. Whether Republican or Democrat; conservative or liberal, it’s getting hard to keep the candidates straight. Some of today’s big names will be gone soon. One will likely become president. What better way to remember the 2016 race than by collecting buttons from each candidate who throws his or her hat in the race?

Did you know that political campaign buttons have been around since the beginning of campaigns in this country? Even George Washington wore one. And every campaign has had them. In the 1860s, candidates started adding likenesses of themselves. In the 1890s, the first mass-produced buttons made an appearance during the campaign of William McKinley.

We’ve got today’s candidates. And many of those from decades ago. New buttons come in daily. Get them before someone else does. Some are hard to find. They’re the perfect collectible today.

Celebrate spring with us!

It’s time to do your spring happy dance! Wherever you live, the weather is finally looking up. If you are in the D.C. area, it’s cherry blossom time, and the weather has been warming up. Elsewhere in the country, there’s been some end-of-the-season snow.

What better way to recognize the season than with a good collectible. Easter eggs are perfect. We’ve been featuring them since the Reagan era. And there will be new ones again this year. We’ve got beautiful glass eggs and wooden eggs. And for you button collectors, we’ve got buttons from the White House Easter Egg Roll too.

If you are looking for something other than an egg or button, check out the website under Easter. We have programs from the Easter Egg Roll as well as temporary tattoos and recipe cards, posters and tickets. More merchandise is coming in daily.

This year’s White House event is April 6. Did you know that the White House receives more than 300,000 requests for tickets for the annual event? This year, they have awarded 35,000 tickets. The day includes the roll and many more activities in and around the White House. In 2001, the roll was cancelled due to rain. Now, there’s a system in place to relocate the roll to another location should it rain.

Commemorate the annual fun by adding to your collection today!   More
