Election items are perfect for collectors

Wishing you were back at the conventions? We are into the final election stretch; the conventions are but a memory.

But we’ve got some convention items that might still interest you. After all, they are collector’s items!

Delegate buttons? We’ve got them!

Trump buttons? Got those too!

And we’ve got lots of Hillary buttons from the convention as well.

Have you ever heard of the Secret Service coins? They are made especially for the convention where they’re distributed. We have a few of those. They are special and getting rarer by the moment. Get one for yourself, and save it for the grandchildren. Just $45. They are on display on our home page.

Can’t make up your mind about what to buy or how to vote? We’ve got the perfect answer: The Indecision 2016 Coin is now available. On one side is Clinton; on the other side is Trump. It’s about the size of a silver dollar and the color is brassy. At $9.95, it’s an easy decision, unlike the election. Also on display on our home page.

It would make a perfect gift for that split-voting household, too.

Take a few minutes and look through the buttons on the site. You won’t be disappointed!

Get ’em while they are hot!

We had a wonderful show in Harrisburg. It was great to see so many old friends and meet some new people, too. Now, our thoughts are turning to the upcoming political conventions.

Now is the time to get all your buttons before the convention. We have buttons from all the candidates – whether they are still in the race or not. It’s time to get them while there’s still a good selection.

Hillary or Donald… or both? If you are a collector you’ll want to grab some of each. And perhaps pick up a few of the wannabes like Bernie, or Ben, or Jeb, or John.

If you have plenty of buttons to get you through the Republication convention that starts July 18, and Democratic convention that starts July 25, how about reading a book?

Our supply of “52 Reasons to Vote for Hillary” just arrived. At $14.95 it’s a bargain whether you are in the Hillary or Donald camp. Order now for an autographed copy.

Catch us at the APIC convention

It’s almost here, and we’ll be in Harrisburg for the annual national convention of the American Political Items Collectors!

If you collect political items and other memorabilia, you know about APIC – or you should. The national meeting is the place to be for all things related to your passion.

Tours of important historical attractions in the area, chapter meetings, speakers, a bourse (trade show), exhibits and an auction – they are all on the schedule. Events take place through Sunday, July 10, at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel.

We’ll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so make sure you stop by and say hello!

A couple of the items we’ll have with us:

The remaining binders from largest-ever collection of presidential campaign convention tickets. Come and browse through tickets to Republican, Democratic and third-party conventions from 1900 to the present.

Recent Obama presidential gift items such as cuff links and challenge coins. Some of these items are very scarce. Don’t miss them!

“52 Reasons to Vote for Hillary,” autographed by the authors. This is the sequel to “52 Reasons to Vote for Obama,” and it’s hot off the press! Don’t miss a chance to get your copy.

We look forward to seeing you in Harrisburg!

White House presidential flag is a great find!

I recently purchased a large White House Oval Office Presidential Flag dating from the 1960s. It measures 53 inches by 42 inches. The flag has been removed from the frame. Here are five interesting facts about it:

(1.) the finishing production date is Feb 28, 1968 (2.) it's made of polyester-rayon & the POTUS coat of arms is a mix machine & hand stitchings (3.) the fringes consist of gold of & silver bullion (4.) it's one of only six of this particular class of flag in existence (5.) it's a military color guard flag, it was always within a few feet of POTUS

It’s quite a find. One recently sold for $27,500. Call us for pricing.   More

Campaign buttons are an American tradition

Jeb or Hillary? Ted or Bernie?

Want to wear your support on your lapel? We’ve got the buttons you want!

The field is getting more and more crowded. Whether Republican or Democrat; conservative or liberal, it’s getting hard to keep the candidates straight. Some of today’s big names will be gone soon. One will likely become president. What better way to remember the 2016 race than by collecting buttons from each candidate who throws his or her hat in the race?

Did you know that political campaign buttons have been around since the beginning of campaigns in this country? Even George Washington wore one. And every campaign has had them. In the 1860s, candidates started adding likenesses of themselves. In the 1890s, the first mass-produced buttons made an appearance during the campaign of William McKinley.

We’ve got today’s candidates. And many of those from decades ago. New buttons come in daily. Get them before someone else does. Some are hard to find. They’re the perfect collectible today.

Celebrate spring with us!

It’s time to do your spring happy dance! Wherever you live, the weather is finally looking up. If you are in the D.C. area, it’s cherry blossom time, and the weather has been warming up. Elsewhere in the country, there’s been some end-of-the-season snow.

What better way to recognize the season than with a good collectible. Easter eggs are perfect. We’ve been featuring them since the Reagan era. And there will be new ones again this year. We’ve got beautiful glass eggs and wooden eggs. And for you button collectors, we’ve got buttons from the White House Easter Egg Roll too.

If you are looking for something other than an egg or button, check out the website under Easter. We have programs from the Easter Egg Roll as well as temporary tattoos and recipe cards, posters and tickets. More merchandise is coming in daily.

This year’s White House event is April 6. Did you know that the White House receives more than 300,000 requests for tickets for the annual event? This year, they have awarded 35,000 tickets. The day includes the roll and many more activities in and around the White House. In 2001, the roll was cancelled due to rain. Now, there’s a system in place to relocate the roll to another location should it rain.

Commemorate the annual fun by adding to your collection today!   More
